OUR STORY

We’re Christina and Dmytro — a husband-and-wife team who decided our community deserved a different kind of tutoring center. One that’s high-quality without being high-pressure. One that gets real results but still feels friendly, personal, and full of life.

MEET CHRISTINA

Co-Founder & The Brains Behind the Operation

Christina graduated summa cum laude from the Fox School of Business at Temple University with both University and Fox honors. She’s always been driven to build something meaningful for the community, and education was the perfect fit.

Her experience is a mix of creative and academic — private tutoring, teaching dance, and working as a teaching assistant at a Saturday Ukrainian school. She’s also the Assistant Artistic Director of the Voloshky Ukrainian Dance Ensemble, where she mentors and guides Ukrainian-American young adults.

At D.N.Academics, Christina runs the show behind the scenes — handling everything from administration to marketing to finances.

MEET DMYTRO

A young man with light skin, short brown hair, a mustache, and goatee, wearing a beige, gray, and yellow patterned short-sleeve shirt, standing in front of a white wall and a wooden door, with a small microphone clipped to his shirt.

Co-Founder & The Heart of the Classroom

Teaching comes naturally to Dmytro. After earning his Bachelor’s degree in English Literature from Penn State University, he taught in a variety of settings — from The Ukrainian Heritage School and MAST Community Charter to The Pathway School — and has been a dedicated private tutor for years.

He’s a lifelong hard worker (often balancing multiple jobs) and is currently a special education teacher, giving him the skills to work with learners of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds. Known for his energetic, caring approach, Dmytro developed D.N.Academics’ engaging, student-centered teaching style.

If you’ve ever met someone who can teach a board game in minutes and make it fun, you’ve met Dmytro. Kids love his enthusiasm, parents value his expertise, and everyone appreciates his genuine care for each student’s success.

Together, we’ve built D.N.Academics to be more than just a tutoring center — it’s a place where learning feels good, confidence grows, and every student leaves knowing they’re capable of more than they imagined.

ABOUT US

Tutoring has a reputation: boring, stuffy, a last resort. At D.N.Academics, we're here to change that for good!

We believe learning should feel exciting, empowering, and personal. Whether it's a 3rd grader tackling math or an adult improving their English, every learner deserves an experience that's engaging, confidence-boosting, and (dare we say it?) fun.

Our space in Huntingdon Valley is designed to break the mold. Forget cold, sterile classrooms. We've created an environment where students feel comfortable, supported, and ready to grow. It's all about making learning something you look forward to.

We offer private, one-on-one tutoring for Pre-K through 8th grade in math, reading, writing, and more, fully tailored to each student's unique needs. For students who want to go further, our enrichment programs build on curiosity and creativity beyond the standard curriculum, nurturing a genuine love of learning. Our ESL lessons are open to all ages and built around real goals, whether that's mastering grammar, holding conversations, or feeling confident in everyday life.

At D.N.Academics, we don't just provide tutoring. We transform the way people experience learning.
